In last week’s news it was reported that the land adjacent to the present cruise terminal is being bought by a group representing the Ritz Carlton. The land is prime for redevelopment and sits on Historic Charleston Harbor and ties neatly into the City Market. As the economy continues to reboot my contacts have been telling me that Charleston is poised to see a growth in the luxury accommodations market, with the focus on it being in downtown Charleston.
